Lindsey graduated pharmacy school in May of 2018. After 20 years in school, she decided it was time to start adulting. Many interviews later, Lindsey was offered a job with Walmart pharmacy, and despite her mom’s wishes, she moved to Kansas City, MO with her soul dog, Winston. Meanwhile down in Alabama, Austin was preparing his move to Kansas City to be closer to family. While enduring the brutal Kansas City winter (one of the worst since 2011), Lindsey and Austin connected. It all began with a like on hinge. Austin shot his shot and responded to one of Lindsey’s prompts which stated “We’ll get along if…. you believe Brendan Dassey is innocent.” Their first date consisted of sushi and Austin winning over Winston. After a few more dates, the two decided to make it official. Since then, together they have endured a few more blizzards, survived a pandemic, moved to St. Louis, eaten lots of sushi, watched countless crime documentaries, and even adopted another dog, Willow, who, along with Winston, helped Austin propose. Through all of the craziness of the past 4.5 years, God has always been the constant in their relationship. Their faith has gotten the couple through many of life’s obstacles, and they will continue to overcome them together as husband and wife beginning October 12, 2024.
